Nasdaq 100 Down 2% Trading Setup

On a day when Nasdaq 100 is down 2% from its previous day close, something very interesting is likely to happen within a day or two.

Following is a table of Nasdaq 100 emini from September 2003 to March 2011 showing the statistics related to the 2% drop phenomenon.

    Thanks for posting this.

    If the Nasdaq goes down by 2%, how often will it go down to -3%?

    Or -4%? I am thinking of maximum excursion, which is an important consideration of a mechanical system.

    If -3% is cleared, NQ has a strong bias to tag -4% and -5%.

    Be aware , however, there are not that many cases of -3% days.
